Cyber security is the body of technologies, processes and practices designed to protect networks, computers, programs and data from attack, damage or unauthorized access. In a computing context, the term security implies cyber security. Protecting an organization’s strategic goals and objectives against cyber security events should be a priority for all organizations, large and small. Effective cyber security programs require cross functional participation, planning, and practice.
These programs are an ongoing effort to align cyber security program elements to defined business risk. Fortunately, the information security community has developed a variety of resources, methods, and best practices to help organizations address these challenges.
This Certificate Program is designed for managers, executives and small to mid-sized businesses who need to understand the critical importance of cyber security in today’s business world. This program will help you understand why cyber security is important, lay the foundation to evaluate your organization’s vulnerabilities, and how to address cyber issues.
This certificate program is designed to teach you how to engage with all functional levels to deliver an effective, efficient and aligned cyber security program. This course addresses a range of topics, each of which is vital and interrelated to securing the modern enterprise.
We will utilize a case study building to a capstone project. This capstone project can be the baseline for your organization’s cyber security plan. Governance, risk, vulnerabilities, security preparedness, user education, and IT policies will all be components. You will learn how to implement an annual security control assessment to ensure your plan is current.
Attend our certificate program and learn the required skills to manage your company’s cyber security plan. Upon completion of this program you will have learned how to create a cyber security self-assessment for your organization including governance, plan and discuss countermeasures to attacks and review best leadership practices and strategies to create a strong cyber protection culture.
