Designed for new or aspiring supervisors and managers, this fast-track curriculum helps participants achieve management success. Learn the skills needed to lead, motivate, delegate, communicate, and problem solve. Topics include enhanced interpersonal techniques, understanding of organization power dynamics, a defined set of operating principles and a rationale for your choices.  At the end of the course, participants will develop a career path for the next six to eighteen months with a workable, executable framework for moving ahead as a dynamic leader.

Liz Ferenbach Walker

Elizabeth Ferenbach Walker has extensive experience in delivering custom training for corporate clients. A global management consultant, she has worked as a management trainer and instructional designer with much of her work focused on soft management skills including; improving communications, problem solving, change management, developing leadership skills, delegation and team building. She obtained her B.A. from Tufts University, Ed.M. from Harvard University, and an M.A. at Southampton University.

This course is designed for individuals looking to gain managerial skills in order to advance or change their careers, employees transitioning into managerial roles with little or no supervisory experience, and individuals identified by their organizations as ready for leadership positions.

This six-week course is a blended program. Course will be offered as a virtual instructor-led training meeting six times for 3-hours of instruction via Zoom, with additional weekly supplemental reading and assignments. Plan on approximately 2-hours of additional reading and/or assignments during the six-week course.
